WWE 2K25’s upcoming DLC pack, titled the “Dunk and Destruction Pack,” is set to release on June 25 and features a mix of wrestling icons and NBA stars. Headlining the pack is basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, who brings his larger-than-life presence to the ring alongside The Great Khali, Abyss, Jalen Brunson, and Tyrese Haliburton. This follows the New Wave Pack released in May, which introduced several rising wrestling stars.

Shaquille O’Neal’s addition was officially announced via WWE 2K25’s Twitter account, complete with a sneak peek at his ring entrance animation. Although fans may have expected a more personalized entrance theme, Shaq enters to a generic track. Despite this, his inclusion bridges the gap between sports entertainment and basketball, reflecting his previous appearances in both WWE and AEW, as well as his long-standing presence in gaming.

While some fans hoped for a more wrestling-focused lineup, Shaq’s history in the ring and mainstream appeal offer a unique twist to the game’s roster. His in-game debut lets players pit him against past opponents or team him with familiar allies, including dream matches with fellow NBA stars included in the same pack. The DLC is part of WWE 2K25’s broader post-launch content strategy, aiming to diversify the gameplay experience.
